Beach, who else was there!

Here are some pics of the rest of us who went to Destin!

After a long afternoon of shopping at the outlet mall, Mom, Sarah, Hannah and I ate at Pompano Joe's! It was awesome and we were tired! Well, not too tired because after that we went to the Commons for a little more shopping!
P.S. I can't believe I got rid of all my girl stuff but I am having so much fun shopping for a little baby girl again!

Brad and Laci working beach clean-up! The first day we caught jellyfish, second day we caught these little bitty fish, third day we caught crabs, and the fourth day we caught tar balls! It was a fulfilling week!

Megan's Turn...

My little sassy Megan had a great week with a rough start. The fever virus struck the first day followed by a sinus infection. But, she was a trooper. She just slept more than usual. By the end of the week she was back to her old self again, taking no naps and running us all over the place!

We drove home leaving Friday night at 10pm and drove through the night. Megan fell asleep about 1030 and woke up the next morning about an hour away from home! Here she is just before she woke up. I think she would have slept the whole way if we hadn't been laughing so loud at her gatorade mustache from the night before!

She was quite the fish this year. Sarah had her in the pool about 5 minutes and she was jumping off the side and swimming a couple of feet to Sarah. I was so proud but knew what was coming the rest of the week. She jumped in several times forgetting there was no one to catch her! Luckily, we were close!
Enjoying Marble Slab

Sweet little Megan!
Tomorrow I will include some pics of the rest of the family!

All About Laci...

This year Laci was quite the brave swimmer, while holding her nose, of course! She had a ball and it was fun to watch her play and get excited!
Marble Slab was huge hit!
They was a man playing music at AJ's and Laci took him a dollar and asked him to play Big Green Tractor and he did. She danced and sang along with him!

Getting the hang of Boogie Boarding

Brad and her also had a Laci/Daddy day. They played putt-putt and then hit the water park. Laci rode every slide there and they had an awesome time! She is still telling stories from that day. I wasn't brave enough to hand my camera off to Brad to document the day! :)
Stay tuned, tomorrow, Megan's day!

Beach All Week!

We spent last week in Destin and it was amazing! We had 6 beautiful days and only of those days did we see "tar balls." The week started out somewhat stressful. We were waiting on a call from the doctor regarding some tests Wes had before we left. We finally got those results and they think everything is going to be fine. Also, Megan got sick while we were there (never fails). She started with the fever virus and added a sinus infection to complete the package. She was such a trooper and when her fever was down she was ready to go. And, with lots of help from a family friend (who happens to be a doctor) and NO thanks to my local pediatric clinic, we were able to get Meg an antibiotic and she was doing much better. By Friday, she didn't even go inside at all! Overall we had a great time and look forward to that each year. But, we always realize it's just too short! During the upcoming week I will share pics each day from our trip to Destin. Including, videos and tar balls!!! Here are a few of our first day on the beach!
Yes, this is at the beach....in the ocean! It was crystal clear and beautiful! The girls loved it and were not scared a bit! It's amazing how much they change in a year!

Megan before the fever struck! When we went in to shower for dinner we realized she was "warm." Warm turned to hot and Motrin became our best friend. Because then Meg's fever gets too high, she pukes! So, I tried my best to keep her fever under control at all times!
Here are Laci and Megan before we left! They were sooooo excited. It's like it all clicked this year and they knew what vacation meant and where we were going. I bet it will only get more exciting each year!

It's A...

Today we went and had an ultrasound at Baby Views (which was amazing) and we are excited to announce that we are having our 3rd baby....

Girl!!!

The girls got to go and see and they are very excited. Even Laci who was for sure she wanted a boy! Everything looked great and she just looked perfect. Brad was and still is in shock but doing good. I asked if he was disappointed and he said, yes, but when they told me Megan was a girl I was disappointed and look how awesome she is! It's big news that is going to need time to sink in. He feels the same way I do in that we are so thankful everything looked great and she was VERY active and just looked perfect. We have certainly realized what a blessing a baby is and this little girl is going to bring so much joy in to our lives and we are looking forward to meeting her and learning her personality.
As for me, I am in a fog of joy and relief. I am so excited and it's amazing how quickly my mind turned to pink, bows, and all those cute girlie outfits I've seen the last few weeks. I wonder if she will have blue eyes. Be tall like Brad and Laci or short like me and Meggie. I wonder what we will name her? I wonder if she will look like the other 2? I wonder why I sold all my stuff at Duck Duck Goose? haha
Only God knows and I continue to say this, but I am so grateful for our God who knows all when we don't. Today as my nerves and anxiety were getting the best of me awaiting the ultrasound, I could hear and feel Him wrapping his arms around me reassuring me that he had it all in control. Perfect Baby or Imperfect Baby, Boy or Girl, He is in control! Thank You, God!

When Daddy Comes to the Pool

On one of our pool days Brad came up late in the day and the girls were eager to play. He can do way more stuff than I can and that makes him way cooler at the pool! I think you can tell how pumped Meg is in this picture.
Daddy would throw the girls and they loved it. He started out throwing Megan little and she said no, throw me like Laci!!

Megan has grown quite fond of these goggles and she looks hilarious.
Here is Laci getting thrown and this toss ended up in a back buster, but she didn't care one bit!

A fun day at the pool = 2 tired girls that night!

Summertime!

We went to the pool last night for the first time and it didn't take long for the girls to get back to swimming.

Megan is fearless!!! She took one step in the water, turned around asked me for her swim rings and was ready to go. She put her rings on and jumped right off of the side of the pool. I explained to her she couldn't jump off the side of the pool except between the black lines and she said, ok, and took off to the black lines! From that point on she was jumping off the side going under and trying to get as far away from me as she could (I was watching from the side b/c I didn't have my bathing suit on). At one point she was heading towards the deep end and I told her to come back to the shallow end and she said I'm going to jump off the diving board. I told her she couldn't jump off of the diving board with swim rings and she had to be able to swim and she looked up at me and said, "I need swimming lessons." She keeps me on my toes!
Laci was a little more timid and it took her a bit to remember she could swim and jump off of the diving board. But, it wasn't long before she was back to her old self going all over the pool.

My two blue-eyed girls....I am excited to see how that is going to change. It could be 3 blue-eyed girls, 2 blue-eyed girls and 1 blue-eyed boy, or a girl with different color eyes or a boy with different color eyes....it will be fun to see!

Kindergarten Graduation

Wednesday morning Laci had her final day as a Kindergarten student and we attended her Graduation. It was very sweet and reminded me once again how fast life is flying by! Here are a few pictures from the day.
The morning before her last day of Kindergarten!

She had just received her diploma and like always, had a smile glued on her face.
Daddy and Laci

Me and Laci
After the ceremony Laci got to pick where she wanted to eat and she chose Mimi's in Little Rock. So, we headed to LR, ran a couple of errands then met Uncle Wes and Nonny to eat Mimi Mouse Pancakes! Yum!
Way to go, Laci! We are so proud of you!!!

Random...

Here are a few random pictures from the last few days.

We had a spot next to our deck that would not grow grass. (probably because that is where we kept throwing stuff off of the deck) So, Brad and I decided to do a little landscaping and this is what we ended up with. Within a year or two the plants along the back should grow to be just under the deck rails.

While we have been working on our backyard "projects" Megan has been spending time in her little pool. It usually ends up full of mud.

Laci put her first "keep out" sign on her door. It's going to take more than this to keep Megan out!
Impromptu photo shoot: The girls had new bathing suits come in the mail so of course they had to try them on and do a quick photo shoot!
