Sunday Morning

Here are some pictures from this morning! Don't worry, Laci wore a coat!!!

Laci loves getting her pictures made, Megan hates it! So...I bribed her!!!!!
This was yet another of Laci's outfits! I still can't believe Megan is that big!!!!

Laci's always good for a pose!

Daddy's Girls...
Mommy's Girls....
Now, let's talk about this week and why I look so...tired! Our house had the stomach bug over for the week!!! I was the last one to have it and I am still fighting the nausea and weak feeling! If you have not had it...consider yourself lucky. It is the worst 24 hours! (or 72 hours if you have 2 little girls that get it first!) I am just so thankful we live close to family and that Brad was spared the virus! He was a trooper and took good care of all of us! However, I do recall on of my 1:00 a.m. puke sessions where I heard him come down the stair as I laid in the floor of our half bath. "hun, do you need a cold rag?" he asked. "Yes....please," I responded. I heard him wetting the rag from the kitchen and the next sound was him throwing the rag from the kitchen to the bathroom! He did not want to get too close! And, honestly, I don't blame him!!!

Santa Fun Meet

Laci is on an exibition gymnastics team. The Tiny Stars! They do not compete yet, but they do routines around town. Saturday was the Santa Fun Meet at her gym. Her team did their Christmas routine and then they did their skills and got a "report card", trophy and certificate! Laci was great! I was so proud of her. She is definitely not shy and likes to put on a show. Here are a few pictures and a little video!

Let me clarify one thing. My pet peeve is panties hanging out under a gymnastics suit! However, this suit is a little big and with everyone one watching, I wanted her to be fully covered! So did her daddy!!!

What a handstand!!!! She should be good at these. She does these all over the house, all day long!

Striking a pose during the routine!

The high bar!!!! She held her "L" hand and straddle hang all by herself!

Here is a little video of one of her tumbling passes during the routine! I was so proud of Laci. When they were showing their skills, they were out there by themselves. Laci was fearless. Mrs. Andrea worked so great with Laci! Laci did her backbend by herself and then she kicked over by herself! Holy cow...I jumped up like an idiot!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Megan!

Today is Megan's 2nd birthday. We did not do much! (I save the big parties for 3 and up) However, the day consisted of Megan wearing her birthday tutu to church. Then, after church Meme and Papaw Bo, Auntie Sarah and Ben, Poppy and all of us came to our house and ate Hot and Ready's (Little Ceasar's) and had a wonderful cake made by Garry and NayNay! Then, we opened presents...then, naptime. Here are few pics from ther day!

Her shirt said Miss December!

Here is Megan's gift from Nonny and Poppy. They got Laci her Escalade when she was 2, so they decided Meg needed a ride as well. Here is Megan and her Mustang!

On your mark, get set, GO!

If was pretty fast. So, Brad had to play chase! Megan doesn't know how to turn yet either. She just runs into something and then hollars for someone to help!

What to call it?

I did not know what to title today's post. I had many ideas. Some of them being; gut check; time flies; a dose of reality; lump in my throat; panic attack; and the list goes on. Or, maybe the events of this morning was simply a way to remind me to slow down and enjoy life! Getting Megan dressed these days is great because now that she can fit in most size 2T things, she can a lot more of Laci's hand me downs! This is always great!!! So, today was no different. I put Megan in an outfit Laci wore 2 years ago during Christmas time. After I got her dressed I told her to walk around and let me see. As she pranced around, it nearly took my breath away! I hadn't realized how big she had gotten. I remember thinking how big Laci was when she wore that outfit and I can't handle thinking my baby is getting that big!!! Here are the pictures to prove it!!
This is Megan this morning after she had gotten dressed! She will be 2 on Sunday.

Um, yeah, she is walking on the dining room table!!!!

And, here is Laci wearing the exact same outfit 2 years ago! Megan was less than 2 weeks old when Laci wore this outfit!!! Laci is 2 and 1/2 years old in these pictures!!

Everyone always asks me if I think they look exactly alike. I can honestly say no. I know they favor, but as you can see in these pictures, they vary greatly! I just can't get over how big Megan has gotten! The time has gone so fast and I don't think it is going to slow down anytime soon!

A New Addition to the Bohannan Family...

Laci and Megan had Christmas a little early this year. We got them a puppy! We now have a 12 week old Yorkie named Harley. It's a girl! I'm sure some of you remember Abby! She was our first Yorkie that we had to give away because we were moving som much! Well, we are giving it another try! Here are a few pictures of Harley. Already, it has been so fun watching the girls interact with her!

Laci loves taking care of her. She will sit in the bathroom (our bathroom is her new home) and play with her and make sure has water. She feeds her when it is time. And, right now, Laci is holding her on her chest and laying down watching t.v. Harley is asleep on top of her! It's precious.

Megan now has someone she can boss around. Harley grabbed one of Megan's crocs and I heard Meg say..."no ma'm, Harley." We had one meltdown when Harley took one of Megan's binkies!

And, Brad...Although, it took some convincing, Brad finally came around and I think Harley likes him best already! We'll see where that relationship goes!

Can't take my eyes off for one Second...

My little Megan never ceases to amaze me!! She plays throughout the house anywhere Laci does. I do not worry about her because she can do just about anything Laci does. And, Laci is a great big sister and is quick to let me know when Meg is doing something dangerous!! Well, when I heard Laci say, "Megan, how did you get up there," I knew I needed to check it out. Don't ask me how she did it. I am assuming she pulled out each drawer and climbed up. I do not know, but she was there and I about fell over laughing!! I asked her what she was doing and she said, "watching football." Directly over the bar is the living room with the TV, where football was on!!!! Here is a picture of how I found her!
She has also broken off a drawer pull from their bathroom upstairs because she wraps her toes around them and uses the drawer pulls as a ladder to get onto the counter and into the sink. She thinks it is so funny to let her diaper fill up with water! Maybe that is why this potty training thing is not as easy this time...she likes the full diaper look!

New shoes!

One of the things I love about the girls is the fact that they will wear whatever and do not really care! I know this will change sooner than later, so I am enjoying it while I can. I love the fact they can be dressed as a princess one day and wear jeans and a sweatshirt the next. I love that Laci does not care what people think (I hope that does not change) and will wear a giant pettiskirt to church and a tutu to a ballgame! So, I was so excited to find these Converse All-Stars from the good ole days! It gave them a whole new attitude and was so fun to watch both of them prance around the store in these shoes. I think Brad called them, "chucks." And, Poppy had a pair of black ones in high school!
This was a opportunity to experiment. It was cold the day they wore them for the first time, but we couldn't cover up the shoes with jeans and our skinny jeans were dirty. So.........we pulled out the trusty babylegs! These are awesome and both girls still wear them on thier legs, arms, whatever is cold! We had fun getting to mold a new look and with it came a new little attitude. Laci said "getcha head in the game"(high school musical), cuz she had her basketball shoes on! And, Megan, well she just kicked Laci because she liked her new shoes. Anyway, here are some fun pics.
The New Chucks?

Laci sat still for so long to let me curl her entire ponytail! She was great!! and, I love to play with her hair!

Megan finally joined Laci for a picture! Loving the babylegs!!!!

Razorback Game!

Brad, Laci and I finally made it to a Razorback game!! Brad has been this year but Laci and I have not. Megan stayed with Mimi Kathy and Grandad. Although it was a quick trip, we had a good time. We got up on Saturday morning and first went to Dillards. I had not seen the "coat" picture in person and I had to!! It was awesome. I almost cried! The lady working in the store said they had all guessed the little girl in the picture was about 6 or 7. I said no, this is her and she is 4!!! We also took pictures of Laci standing next to her posters. We then headed to the ballgame. We wanted Laci to get to experience all of what a Hog game day is. She was NOT impressed. About the time we got to the pit, she was ready to go into the stadium. She would not talk to anyone and was so overwhelmed (not like Laci at all). She dug her chin into my thigh looked up at me with her lip quivering and said I'm ready to go!!! I knew I had to move fast or this would end up in tears!! So, we walked and stood next the Hog grill so she could see the stadium. The lip quiver turned into a smile!! She could not wait to go in! So, we headed up the stairs. Laci road on Brad's back so that was not an issue as I once thought it might be!! Once we were inside, Laci was wide-eyed and couldn't get enough. She sat at the edge and stared, yelling back at us when she saw anything, cheerleaders, mascots, the band, football team, policemen, etc. I managed to get one picture of her looking at me. Then, it was all from the back. She was glued to the field! Here are the pictures I got! After that, she was uncooperative! So, I put the camera away and had a great Hog gameday!!!

Halloween night we went to the Carnival at our church, then left for Fayetteville. We had fun at the carnival, especially Laci. Here are a few pictures from that night.

Halloween Preview

Laci's preschool party was Wednesday so we got to have a trial run in the costumes. I thought they were pretty cute! Laci was Sharpay (from High School Musical 1, 2, and most recently 3, Senior Year) In HSM 2 there is a part where Sharpay was the golfer and that is what Laci wanted to be!! Halloween day she will carry a golf club, but I didn't think that was safe to take to preschool!!! And, Megan!!! She was "Future American Idol." I saw this costume on the internet and I had to have it!!! She just likes the microphone and licks the glitter off of it!!!

For Laci's Preschool Halloween party they made masks and here is Laci modeling one!!!
Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!
