Halloween Preview

Laci's preschool party was Wednesday so we got to have a trial run in the costumes. I thought they were pretty cute! Laci was Sharpay (from High School Musical 1, 2, and most recently 3, Senior Year) In HSM 2 there is a part where Sharpay was the golfer and that is what Laci wanted to be!! Halloween day she will carry a golf club, but I didn't think that was safe to take to preschool!!! And, Megan!!! She was "Future American Idol." I saw this costume on the internet and I had to have it!!! She just likes the microphone and licks the glitter off of it!!!

For Laci's Preschool Halloween party they made masks and here is Laci modeling one!!!
Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!

Orange Day

Wednesday was orange day at Laci's preschool! They were supposed to wear orange and bring something orange for show and tell! I think she succeeded. She found Tigger and her Home Depot apron. She could only take one thing, so we put the apron on Tigger! Worked great!!!!!

Where's Laci?

Lately, we have had so many people tell us that they have seen Laci in Dillard's stores all over. We have heard that she was seen in Texas City, TX; Fayetteville and Rogers, AR; Hot Springs; Little Rock; North Little Rock; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Abilene, TX; Oklahoma City...just to name a few! Unfortunately, we can't go everywhere to see them, but it sure is fun to know where she is! So, here is the latest poster that should be in stores now! If you (or a friend/family member) see this or another picture of Laci, let us know where!!! Thanks!!!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Megan has been singing Itsy Bitsy Spider in gymnastics. She is learning the words and this is a video of her filling in the blanks. First of all , ignore my singing! I know that it is terrible!!! I am hoping the girls can dance better than we can all sing!! Second, People are always commenting on the girl's "twang" or "southern draw." I can hear it when they talk but couldn't figure out where it came from...until now!!!! At the end of the video Megan repeats her ABC's after me and, poor thing, she sounds JUST LIKE ME!!! I knew I talked southern, but didn't realize it was quite that strong.

Funny Girls

Here are a couple of videos of the girls!

The first is Megan eating muscadimes! Papaw and Mamaw Grant grow these out at their farm and we have found that Megan loves them! Poppy taught her how to eat them and Mamaw sent some home to Megan! She has just about eaten the entire bag. Where does that blonde hair come from????

Here is Laci being interviewed by Megan. This is Megan's first attempt at interviewing. I think she has a future. At the end Laci's ADD kicks in she completely changes the subject. She starts giving reasons why she loves daddy. We had been talking about it earlier!

A Very Special Project

This was an order for 4 shirts for 4 little girls to wear during Race For the Cure. But, not just any little girls. These are 4 little girls who lost their Me Me to breast cancer not long ago. I knew their Me Me and she was very special. I was honored to make the shirts and for me, it was a reminder of how breast cancer affects people and how important it is to support this cause!

A Few New Ideas

Here are some of my latest projects!!!
The first picture was an order for a solid red tutu. With all of the ribbon, rhinestones and gadgets in my cabinet it was hard for me to stick to plain red, but in the end I'm glad I did! It turned out beautiful and looked great on her, too!!!! Awesome idea, Rachel!!!!

This was for my mom!!!! She kept talking about needing just y-shirts to wear, so she told me to make her one. Obviously, this is to wear around Christmas, but I thought it turned out great! She was pretty happy with it as well!! It is on a long-sleeve black t-shirt.

This is awesome!!!! I was so pleased with how this turned out! It is designed around candy canes, but one special thing is that in the tutu are randomly placed jingle bells!!!!

This shirt is for Laci!!!! She has been asking for something for her, so I made this for her but I can make more! (for any team)

I have two more orders completed, however, I want to get it in the people's hands before I post pictures!!! But, I will post those as soon as I can!

Daddy Time

Brad and the girls played football in our bedroom! They ended up ruining 3 shirts and a couple of pillows! But, who cares? They had a blast. Well, Laci did. Megan didn't like looking like a turtle! She was like Humpty Dumpty. Once she fell down. she couldn't get up!!!

Laci was hot and tired afterwards, but didn't want to take her shoulder pads off, so she could play later!
This morning they had a kid's class at Home Depot. Brad and Laci went and she built a fire truck!

Yesterday, Laci was laying in the floor and Megan dropped a baby doll right on her mouth! She got a busted lip! She is mighty proud of it!

New Business????...What??

Well, it's true!! I am turning a hobby into a business! I have been making tutus for over a year now. Brad said I either had to sell them or quit buying the stuff to make them! So, here goes!

The name of my business is A Princess Can Play, Too. The basis for my business and my idea has been growing rapidly in the last four years!!! When Laci was about 2-3 months old we were planning our first trip to a Benton Panther game to watch my brother play! I spent an entire Friday looking for a CUTE outfit for her to wear to the game! All I could find were the generic screen printed shirts and the smallest I could find around town was a 2T. 4 years and another daughter later, I am still having the same problem! I realized very quickly that finding something CUTE AND SPORTY for a girl under 6 was tough! So, I started to make my own! It has been a hit and I enjoy seeing what I can come up with. I do custom tutus, shirts, bows etc.! The possibilities are endless!

My first show will be at Old Fashion Day in Benton! It's October 11th, 8-5:30 downtown at the courthouse! Come by and check it out! Here are some of the things I have done to give you an idea of what I am doing! Remember, these are custom and can be done with whatever you want them to say or any color you would like!

MAKE ONE TO SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE TEAM!!!!

USA!! This outfit was made for a little girl who was born about 3 weeks ago. She was born and her daddy is in Iraq! He will be coming home this month to meet his daughter for the first time!

HOLIDAYS...NO PROBLEM! I am working on some Christmas ones right now!!!

AWARENESS!! October is Beast Cancer Awareness Month. Little Rock Race for the cure is Ocotber 11th. I have already had an order for several of these shirts! A percentage of all proceeds from the sale of these shirts/outfits will be donated to breast cancer research!

Hobbies!! This one is so appropriate as today begins bow season!!!!!

That is a small selection of what I have been working on! I am coming up with new ideas daily and getting ideas from others! I hope to have a website up and running so I can post every item as it gets completed! If you have questions, ideas, want to make an order, or simply encourage... you can respond to this post or email me at amberbo12@yahoo.com. Thanks so much!
