Snow Days!!!

We have had a great couple of snow days. Here is our 2 days in pictures!!!

After hearing ice was on it's way I rushed to the store to pick up the essentials....
and, yes I got milk!!! You can't have all this without milk!

I am embarrassed to say that this may be the first time both my kids have gotten to play in snow and enjoy it!!! (and I don't think this qualifies as a big snow). So, they went out in their pjs and coats to check it out! Megan made a bird feeder at MDO and she put it on the deck for the birds.
Laci fell on her booty and Meg thought it was soooo funny that her booty had snow on it!!

Megan sucking on an icicle!

They thought it was hilarious to throw snowballs on one of our back doors!!!

Of course Brad had to get in on the snowball fights which is why I stayed inside!

We spent Friday at my house by the fire with Sarah and Nonny!

A "snowman"????!!?!?!!?!?
Megan warming up her booty by the fire!!!!

Downtime, playing on the iPhones!
We got a few pictures of the girls sledding. The fairway of the hole behind our house was a big hit for sledding so I had to go watch although I was freezing!
Here is Megan sleeding down on Brad's back!!! It was sooo cute!
We did head to Target today because we were starting to get cabin fever and did okay, not too slick. Brad has already been on the computer looking to book a vacation to go snow skiing! He has had the fever and seeing how much the girls loved the snow he is ready to go. I guess we'll have see what the year holds! :)

Big Buck Classic

Brad and his dad took the girls to the Big Buck Classic. He said it was soooo crowded that it was hard to enjoy. But, Laci and Megan said they had a good time and got to see some neat things! Mainly, a "big green tractor" and a rattlesnake!!!!

Finally!!!!

I have finally figured out how to download the pics/videos from my phone! So, these are from awhile back, but I wanted to post them!

Here is Megan and her new "Big Green Tractor." She got this for her birthday and on one of the warm days we got outside and she was hauling boxes around.
Just a cute little picture from Laci's first day she had to go back to school!
These next 3 pictures are from our Anniversary trip to Dallas. This is Brad sitting in a Love Sac. They were in a store in the Dallas mall and Brad was in "love." We got two of them to got in his new office/video game room!
This was the Christmas tree in the middle of the iceskating rink at the Galleria! It was awesome and very fun to watch all the grown-ups bust it on the ice!!!
Unfortunately, they were not giving tours of the new Cowboys Stadium while we were there but we drove by and I took a couple of pics with my phone! It was awesome...from the outside!

And, now a few videos!! I figured out how to do this on my phone so expect a few more videos to come!!!!

These videos were taken in Brad's new office/video game room. We still need to decorate the room that is why the walls are bare. But, as you can see, we are loving the sacs!!!!

Here are some interviews we did when the kids were supposed to be in bed!!!

Gymnastics Meet #2

Sunday Laci had her 2nd gymnastics meet. It is in Pine Bluff and she did great! We were so proud! She remembered her routines and did pretty well on each event. It was funny b/c she did not place too high in the individual events, but since she was consistent in all four of her scores she placed 3rd overall!!! She was excited and so were we!!!!

Laci and her medals!!!

I was so excited when they announced her 3rd overall!! I took a picture of the number because I couldn't her and the number in the pic!!!

What a fun day!!!

Panther Game Ready

We have spent several Friday nights going to the Benton basketball games to watch our Lukee, the NCA National Champion Cheerleaders and some of our many new friends!!!! Here is a picture I took of the girls right before we left! I got them bundled up and told them to get whatever they needed to go to the game!!! They grabbed everything we had in the house that was maroon and white!!!! and, yes we took all of this to the game!!!! At one point Megan went and lined up her poms with the Pepsteppers!! We enjoy going to the games and the girls sleep so good on those Friday nights!!!

Charlie Misses Laci...

Charlie has been a little sad since Laci had been back at school. She usually plays with him until he is too tired to walk and then he will fall asleep in her lap. Laci also protects him from Megan and now Charlie's protection is gone!!!!!

Megan treats him like a baby. She was holding him and bouncing saying, "shhh, shhh, shhh, it's okay."
Yesterday he even went into his crate and went to sleep all by himself just to get away from Megan!

What we do on our days off...

Oh, how we have enjoyed our time off. I wasn't ready to get back in the grove of things today! I enjoyed having Laci home and just lounging around by the fire in our pj's. Here are some pictures from our "lazy days."

First of all, the perfect brownie!!! Sarah and Ben got me "The Perfect Brownie" set for Christmas and it is amazing!!!! It worked perfectly and was so easy!!! Here are a couple of pics!
2 brownies gone...this was obviously before I got ahold of them!!!!!
The girls spent about 2 hours the other day playing dress-up in my closet.
We spent a lot of time playing in the playroom Here is Laci working on her Toe Touch. They would take turns and use the cash register to "calculate the scores."

Putting on a show!
Laci with her hair in sponge rollers!

We had a great Christmas break! Laci is back at school and Charlie is trying desperately to get away from Megan. I think he misses Laci the most!!!

I'd like to introduce you to...

charlie
If you have read my blog for over a year then you probably remember this time last year, when I had the brilliant idea of getting a Yorkie for the girl's Christmas present. And, it was about this time one year ago we were trying to get rid of our dear Harley. Luckily, she was able to go to a great home where she is loved dearly!!! But, I still loved dogs and the girls just go crazy over animals. So, we started talking again about the possibility of getting a dog. But, Brad had some rules. I had to research dogs and if anywhere it said these words, "stubborn," "difficult to train," "mind of their own," "small bladder" etc. there was no way Brad would even consider it! Another stipulation was that the dog had to be rather small. We do not have a fence and do not plan on getting one (due to the fact it has to be wrought iron). So, the dog would be primarily inside and I do not want a 50+ pound dog running around my house! Well, my research began! I stumbled on several dogs but one caught my eye. It is called a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The words that described this breed were, "eager to please," "easily trainable," "calm," just to name a few! It sounded perfect!!!! The one drawback...the price! They are expensive little pups and there are not many breeders in Arkansas. So, again I researched and found some that were not too terribly expensive and they were in Fort Worth!!! And, since we were going to Dallas anyway, we decided to check them out!!!! My advice, if you are going to go look at puppies be ready to buy!! We took one look at the four little puppies and thought they were awesome! Brad decided on the biggest of the 4 because he had what looked like a thumbprint on his head. We named him Charlie and brought him back as a surprise to everyone. The girls had no idea and could hardly contain themselves!! So, we are giving the dog idea another try! Here's Charlie.....
Let me just say, for those wondering, he is a dream dog!!!!! He sleeps in his crate and cries when he needs to potty. We take him outside and he potties and comes back in. He plays and sleeps! He is very calm and very loving. He lets the girls pick him up and carry him around. Laci is quite the little moma! He has fallen asleep in her lap several times! Brad is even very fond of the little guy! I was hesitant to introduce him on the blog because I didn't want to jinx anything and Charlie turn into some wild child! But, we have had him almost a week and he has already brought lots of joy!!! As I type he is sound asleep on my lap!!!

I can dress myself...

To this day Laci basically wears whatever I lay out for her to wear. Megan, on the other hand, likes to dress herself. And, she has two major issues. She does not like long sleeves and she wants to wear flip-flops, at all times. I will get her dressed and then she will come down the stairs in something totally different. Here is one of her many looks! She put this on the other day because she wanted to go with Sarah.

A black and white dress that is clearly too short.
Brown jacket and brown boots (at least not flip-flops)!
No leggings or pants and it is 40 degrees outside.
Needless to say it is a daily battle!!!!!
Can't fault a girl for having her own sense of style, I guess!
