We started the day with a healthy breakfast (I hope she doesn't get used to all this). She had toast w/ jelly, scrambled eggs, cantelope and chocolate milk. She was pumped! But, it was early!
Let me say that Brad was out of town. So, day one and day 2 were all me! I was up at 5:30 both mornings to make sure I remembered everything. Needless to say, that meant Meg had to be up and ready to go as well!
Here is Laci ready to go. You can tell she is nervous with her faces!
Here is Laci in the car on the way to school. She is talking to her daddy on the phone! I did not do a very good job of taking pictures at the school. But, I have an excuse. Besides the chaos of the first day, I had Megan. And, before I could get Laci to her seat Megan had dumped out 2 tubs of Legos and sat down in someone's chair. When I tried to pull her out of the chair, she let out a yelp and I decided I'd better hang on to her!

Thankfully, the experienced moms in our Little Circle of Mom's group had a brunch planned for us to talk, chat, let our little kids play and keep our minds off of children being alone at a new place for 7 hours!
Here is Laci walking out at the end of school! I thought it was going to be bad when I saw her chewing on her water bottle! But, behind that water bottle.....
...there was a smile!!!
I received a great piece of advice a couple of days before Laci started school (thank you to Mrs. Hilborn). She basically said to not dread this day and experience so bad that I miss the excitement of it. Everytime I bought something for school or someone even mentioned I would tear up!!! I was definitely missing the excitement!!! Thank you, Hilborn! You caught me just in time to capture the excitement!! I hope I will remember that advice as we reach each new stage!!!!

I thought about Laci several times yesterday and would just quickly pray that she had a great first day! I am glad that she is handling school so well. You are doing great too!
So cute! She looked awesome for her first day! I am so happy for her and for you! I love the Meg stories too..she's hilarious.
She looks so grown up! Glad to hear she had a good first day! I will be just like you next year when little Colsie starts school. He is already talking about Kindergarten and his shot he has to get at the doctors office! Wow, they grow up so fast!
Looks like she did great! I am glad she is loving it! I am so happy I am teacher. There is much that goes into but, to see kids smile is all worth it! And yes, I think I was as nervous as the kindergartner's were! I wanted to cry a few times before I went but I managed!
I remember Emily's first day of kindergarten like it was yesterday. I'm sure Laci is an old pro by now. I would like to invite you to join with me at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com for Crock Pot Wednesday. It's informal and fun. I think you would enjoy it. Mister Linky is up and waiting for your link.
