Laci's First Date

I just sent Laci off on her first date! Thankfully, it was with her daddy!!! Tonight was our church's Father Daughter banquet. I had so much fun getting her ready! I'm sure it's the first of many times I will get to do her hair and make-up (just a little this time) and get her all dressed up and take lots of pictures. I tried to soak it all in and savor every second!

Daddy got her a wrist corsage and borrowed a car to surprise her on this special night!

Megan's Turn at Gymnastics

Megan had her first gymnastics "meet" Saturday. No, she is not on the gymnastics team, but Mrs. Leah has a Sweetheart Meet for the little ones to show their skills. It is so cute to watch them and really impressive to see what they can do! Here are a few pictures of Megan and her gymnastics "meet."

Megan ready to go. I have learned that pigtails are the way to go in gymnastics when they are little. It makes front rolls so much easier and doesn't hurt their head!

What I Love About Snow Days

During our few days off for snow and Laci being sick we got to do a lot of fun things! Not to mention extreme cabin fever set in. Anyway, Laci and Megan have been sick so we only got to play in the snow for about 15 minutes, which is where I took the pics from the last post. So, we loved staying warm and cozy inside!

The fire was a constant!!!! We loved how warm the house got with the fire going!!!

We made snow ice cream...

But, this was my favorite!! One afternoon I had just plum worn out! I felt like all I had been doing was cleaning messes, taking care of sick kids, washing cloths and sheets (the normal loads plus the loads that had been puked on!), cooking (sweets mostly) and I just needed to lay down. So, Megan, Charlie and myself loaded up on the couch close to the fire and took us a much needed nap! It was wonderful!

P.S. Excuse the no make-up face! Today is the first day I have worn make-up since Sunday! And, the first day I put on cloths besides my sweats!!!

Snow Days, Take 1

Pep Stepper Clinic

Yesterday after school Laci got the go the Pep Stepper clinic and then perform at halftime of both basketball games! Since we go to most Panther home basketball games she was so excited to get to stand in the stands with the dance team and then go on the court and perform with them!!

She was so excited she got to be the leader walking onto the court!

She had the smile down!! It never left her face!

And, yes, she slept in sponge rollers the night before to have the perfect "cheerleader" ponytail!!

Daddy has been in Louisiana and was not supposed to be back until last last night. But, he hopped an earlier flight and made it back in time to watch Laci dance. When Laci walked in the gym, there he was!!! It was pretty special!

Unfortunately, we may have overdone it because she is home sick today. Poor baby!
