The Lake

We got to spend a couple of days at a friend's lakehouse this weekend and it was so much fun! Brad, Me and the girls spent the night there and the rest of the fam came up on Saturday to play. We had a blast!

Laci pushing Wes off the boat!

Laci on the tube. She was waiting on Wes to get on and ride with her.

The first night we drove the boat to Fisherman's Wharf and ate. We had a great time and the food was awesome!

I love this dress of Meg's. My mom got it for her and I must explain. It is lightning bugs inside mason jars. (how many times did I do that as a child) The bugs glow in the dark!! Megan loves going in my closet and seeing the bugs light up!

Megan loved swimming in the lake. As long as the tube was no where in sight. As soon as we hooked up the tube she freaked out and didn't want anyone to ride on it. Probably because the first thing she was her daddy sending Uncle Wes flying across the lake!

They wore their floaties in the water!

We did make them wear life jackets on the boat and Megan hated it!!!!! She did not like it up so close to her neck and she wanted it off at all times!

More Pool Days

Some more pictures from another pool! This week has been pool week! We have been every day to a pool somewhere!!!! In fact, the girls are at the pool right now with Auntie Sarah. When they thought they were not going to get to swim today they cried! Wow! If I didn't live directly on a golf course I'd build a pool. But, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't prance around in a bathing suit when golfers are passing on a regular basis!!!!! Anyway, here are some more pics from the pool!!!!!

Here is a "flipbook" of shots of Laci jumping without floaties!!
Notice she is snapping her fingers with her right hand! Her new saying is, "oh snap." Not sure where she heard it but it sure is funny!

What a Difference a Week Makes

We have been swimming 4 out of the last 5 days!!! The girls love it! But, I am so amazed at how well they are swimming around. Laci took swim lessons 2 years ago and that was it. She cried the whole time. So, I decided she was going to learn to swim the way I did. Swim or stay in the shallow end! She has come a long way! Today she jumped off of the diving board without floaties and swam to the side! It was awesome!! She was swimming all over the place!!!!! She is still holding her nose, but I know she will stop doing that in time. (I was 14 when I stopped holding mine) I was just so proud of her and by the end of the day she was going a front flip!!! Way to go, Laci!!!!!!

I couldn't leave Megan out. Tuesday when we went to the pool I had to rescue her twice. She just walked down the steps and jumped in. The first time was right when we got there and I was still in my coverup and flip-flops with my bag, keys and phone in my hand! She came out of the water and said, "yeah Megan...why you wearing your flip-flops in the pool?" I realized then I was going to have to keep a close eye on her! She loves to jump off the side and loves to go under. When we are at a private pool she will kick all over the pool. She will even jump off of the diving board holding my hand and I can let her go under and she loves it! Here is a video of her playing on the steps! She did this for a long time!

Have I mentioned I love summer??? I do!! This is one of my favorite times of the year and I am loving playing with my girls at the pool and outside!!!

Lots of Pictures, Not A Lot of Words

We got to go swimming with friends the other day and had a great time! Here are a few pictures!!

Megan had a sinking spell (sleepy)!

Laci is doing great swimming. She still has to hold her nose and she can't jump off in the deep without her floaties. She thinks she has to wipe her eyes before she can kick and start to swim. But, pretty good for no lessons!! She is the dog paddle queen!!

VBS and the Hogs!

Yesterday was the first day of Vacation Bible School at our church. Megan got to go because I am helping, but it was Laci's first year of actually getting to do VBS. They had a really good time and we got ready early enough to take some pictures before we left!!! Since the Hogs played last night they wore their Hog Baseball attire!!! Obviously, it didn't help the Razorbacks!!!!!!

Even Daddy joined us on the pictures!!
