Redneck Dolphin Cruise???

While we were sitting on the beach we noticed a lot of dolphins in the ocean. Brad and Ben acted quickly and rented a kayak. They jumped in and got to paddling hoping to get as close as possible to the school of dolphins. I'd say it worked. The dolphins got so close the guys could've touched them. In fact, the dolphins had to change their path to go around them. Some went in front of them and some went behind. It was amazing and I quickly got my camera to catch it because that story would be a tough one to tell and people to believe or understand how close they really were!!!!

It was awesome! Everyone on the beach was watching Brad and Ben, and within minutes, the guy had every kayak rented out!!!!

When Competition Drives Us

What do you get when you put two competitive people together...the Brad and Wes show. They argued all week who did the better flip into the ocean. Brad did one so, of course, Wes had to try. Here is the first attempt! It went pretty well, I thought.

Then, they decided to make a show of it!! Nevermind the little kids they almost ran over!!!

Beautiful Day at the Beach

The double red flags went down yesterday and we got to get in the water! There were a lot of jellyfish but everyone was just ready to play in the waves!

The first thing Megan did was take off walking down the beach. She never looked back. Luckily I was following so that when she did look back, I could capture that uh-oh look!

Shopping Night

Last night, Mom, Sarah, Laci and I went to a cute little place called the Destin Commons. It is a neat shopping area where we ate and walked around. They had a playground that Laci got to play on and she did Build A Bear. You will see her many times with the flower in her hair. Here is the story behind that. She loves the High School Musical movies. In the second movie, Gabriella wears little flowers in her hair right on the side. She wanted to do that so bad so we went and found her some flowers, so she could have "Gabriella" hair.

Santa Rosa Beach

We are past Sandestin at a place called Santa Rosa Beach. It is beautiful! Tropical Storm Eduardo has got the ocean acting up and the Rip Tides have been so bad that we have had a couple of days with Double Red Flags, which means do not get in the ocean. They have had several drownings! We do fine laying out and building sandcastles. Today looks like we may be able to swim, though! Our condo is beyond beautiful and the weather is great! Laci is swimming like crazy. She is the queen of the dogpaddle!!! She can go under and swim but has to hold her nose. She is just like her momma!!!! Who needs swim lessons when there is peer pressure? Here are a few pictures from the first couple of days!

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity

Tonight we went back the The Track and this time I remembered my camera! And, it semi-worked! Megan rode the swings again. I will post some pics of her riding but the video is too fast and would make you dizzy watching it. Then, Laci got back on the go cart!! She was awesome. She could literally walk under the sign of how tall you had to be to drive them. Thank goodness for the volume in her hair because that is what touched the sign and allowed her to be tall enough. She got in her car, barely reaching the gas, and took off. She drove like a champ. Watch out Danica! Passing on the inside, bump drafting, etc. We were so proud. I must say, however, the most proud was when Brad yelled, "that a girl Lace! put her in the wall!" way to go dad! Anyway, here are the pics and a video!! We are heading out for Destin tomorrow. So, I'll post again when I can!

Megan would rock back and forth and say faster, faster!!! She saw the Merry-go-round and said HORSE, RIDE IT! It wasn't working tonight or she could have done that!

I was checking on the Dillard's website because I knew they were putting the Back To School posters up and thought it might be on there. And...it was!!!! This is Laci and a girl from Dallas.
